Briefing: Campaign on Bitcoin and Australia’s Progressive Economic Future
ABIB launches a national email campaign enabling Australians to directly contact Federal Senators using a professional, templated message with the subject line “Bitcoin and Australia’s Progressive Economic Future”.
The campaign addresses the cost-of-living crisis and links inflation-driven inequality to currency debasement, framing Bitcoin as a safeguard for Australians seeking open access to hard money.
The template highlights global case studies of resilience and innovation: Bhutan using renewable hydropower to mine Bitcoin and fund public services; Nigerians and Kenyans protecting themselves against local currency debasement; off-grid communities gaining power infrastructure through Bitcoin miners; and renewable projects paired with mining to lower energy costs and boost regional revenue.
The message underscores Bitcoin’s neutrality—open, voluntary, and resistant to political interference—while directing Senators to explanatory resources by Lyn Alden and Joe Bryan to deepen general understanding of money, banking, and economic security.
