Hi Isaac
I treat Bitcoin as a tradable commodity in the speculative end of a portfolio, rather than the potential replacement for a fiat currency at this stage. I have personally looked at it as a mechanism to run an international remittance service but the liquidity in the required areas was not evident, at least at that time.
I do not currently accept Bitcoin donations.
If bitcoin and other crypto currencies want the legitimacy of a currency they have to accept the same level of regulation and control as a currency. Just as yen and USD are treated the same, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have to accept that they will be treated the same, including emerging players.
These are only my personal opinions. Policy is the responsibility of the government and falls within the portfolio of the very competent Senator Jane Hume, whose advice on this subject I value strongly. I hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards
