Changing of the Guard
The Australian Bitcoin Industry Body (ABIB) announces several key leadership changes as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its mission and governance.
- Daniel Alexiuc, one of ABIB’s founding members, has stepped down from his role as Director. Daniel played a pivotal role in shaping ABIB’s early advocacy efforts. His position will now be filled by Elmo Stoop, who brings a wealth of industry experience and a deep commitment to Bitcoin-only principles.
- Jeremy, who has served as ABIB’s CEO, has also stepped down from his position. Under his leadership, ABIB has made significant strides in promoting Bitcoin’s adoption and navigating regulatory challenges.
- David, who previously served as Secretary, has passed the baton to Bayani Mills. Bayani will now take on the critical role of managing ABIB’s internal affairs and ensuring the organization’s continued focus on advancing the Bitcoin industry.
ABIB thanks Daniel, Jeremy, and David for their invaluable contributions and welcomes Elmo and Bayani to their new roles as we continue our work to support and protect the Australian Bitcoin ecosystem.
