Hi,
please see below my responses
What is your position on Bitcoin?
I am an investor, I am really quite interested in bitcoin as well as the wider applications of the broader crypto market. In my business, we have invested in multiple crypto projects and we build NFT’s.
Do you accept Bitcoin donations?
Currently, I am not taking any donations at all (this is because I want to run completely without any influence). In the future, if i was to open up donations, I would certainly accept bitcoin and any other Crypto donations, provided that is allowed by the AEC.
Do you believe that “crypto” should be regulated as a whole, inclusive of Bitcoin – despite the sizeable differences between the two, – or do you believe there are several categories within “crypto” (eg. stable-coins, security tokens, etc) and that Bitcoin deserves its own category, and thus its own separate regulations (much like in other countries)?
I think that Governments should avoid anything more than light regulation for any reason other than to protect against scammers. Bitcoin should have provisions for it to be treated like a currency, not an asset subject to “capital gains”. Like El Salvador i would support making Bitcoin legal tender. I do believe that for the people that are new to the crypto currency markets we need to ensure they do not get scammed as this would be detrimental to the long term uptake of bitcoin and the wider crypto currency market. I dont support heavy or onerous regulations
